The Centre for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAIL), a Data Science Africa (DSA) affiliated centre, had the honour of hosting Prof. Neil Lawrence, Radzim Sendyka, and Frederick Lawrence from the University of Cambridge for the Machine Learning Foundations Course (MLFC) held from 1st to 24th September 2025 at Dedan Kimathi University, Nyeri, Kenya.
Over three transformative weeks, participants delved into core machine learning principles through engaging lectures, practical sessions, and hands-on projects. The program culminated in a prize-giving ceremony celebrating outstanding participants who received certificates and copies of Prof. Neil’s acclaimed book, “The Atomic Human.”
We extend our sincere gratitude to Prof. Neil Lawrence for his invaluable mentorship and to Prof. Ciira Maina for facilitating this impactful collaboration through DSAIL.
